NBU: Liberal Congress Wants To Kill The ‘Bush Tax Cuts’ by Gordon Bishop , 4/28/08

Congress is working on a “secret plan” to stick taxpayers with the largest tax increase in American history!

Congress doesn’t even need to hold a vote in order to pass it.

You see, all of the tax cuts President Bush gave to America’s working taxpayers will expire in only two years.

Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democrat Senate leader Harry Reid are planning right now to kill the Bush tax cuts and stick Americans with a staggering tax hike, according to the American Conservative Union (ACU) based in Washington, D.C.

The ACU is mailing petitions to its members, which the conservative organization believes they can persuade Congress to make the Bush Tax Cuts permanent.

Enough signed petitions can save taxpayers from a record-high tax increase!

Consider these facts:

- Income tax rates will increase across-the-board.
- The “Death Tax” (the ‘estate tax’) will return to the Clinton-era 55 percent!
- Economy-killing “Capital Gains” taxes will skyrocket.

Americans from all walks of life – from seniors to young people starting a family – will all see their tax burden grow by an average of $2,735!

That’s no concern for die-hard liberals like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

These Democrat leaders fought tooth-and-nail against the people’s tax cut in the first place because they think Americans aren’t paying enough taxes.

Remember, you won’t hear much about this tax hike in the liberal mainstream media, especially on the nightly news.

You also won’t hear about a debate in Congress – or even a “yes” or “no” vote by your local Congressmen.

For over 40 years, the ACU has been carrying the standard for lower taxes and limited government in the nation’s capital.

Thanks to ACU supporters, this fiscally conservative organization has been on the forefront of every important policy battle in Washington, D.C.

- In the 1980s, they were a true ally to President Ronal Reagan as he took on “Big Government” and slashed the tax code.

- In the 1990s, the ACU locked horns with the Clinton White House and battled Bill and Hillary Clinton’s attempts to socialize health care. (The reality is that America already has evolved into a Socialist State.)

- And, today, no one is working harder that the ACU to make tax cuts permanent.

If there’s one thing about Washington’s politics, it’s that there’s strength in numbers.

If the pro-taxes leaders in Congress think their tax hike will cost them votes on Election Day, they will surely back down, the ACU believes.
